Call Me Crazy But…

Call me crazy but I have always been fascinated by the way in which vehicles communicate with other vehicles. Not literally the vehicle itself, as it’s all the drivers’ doing.

When I look at all these different vehicles flashing their lights to other vehicles to say things like “I’ll slow down so you can get pass” or “c’mon I’ll let you through” and the other vehicle will usually flashes back to say thank you, it’s like seeing whole new different world.

You probably won’t notice how how this sort of communication stands out if you’re always behind the wheel. However when you’re not driving and you’re stood in the midst of it all, you don’t see the drivers doing it, all you see are lights on different vehicles flashing, speaking their very own language.

I remember once while I was a passenger in a car, we were driving on a dark country road. A car approaching us kept flashing his full beam lights at us. It turned out the driver was trying to make us aware that there were a few branches in the middle of the road and we should be careful. It’s therefore nice to see drivers communicating with each other to make the would of driving abit more safer and I guess, more fun.

However, as you may already know, its not always sweet language on the road. As a vehicle flashing another vehicle from behind means “you’re driving abit too slow (even though you may not), so speed up…”

Plus in regards to this news, I guess the timing and the place has to be right depending on where you currently reside.

However, with the different sort of meanings, it all makes sence of a crazy world.

  1. Reminds me of “Herby Fully Loaded” 🙂
I think there should be a flashable light at the back of cars too- something other than brake lights or emergency flicker lights. The other day we were driving through a storm and car behind us forgot it’s lights.. It happened to be a car the perfect shade of black to blend in with the road too! Dangerous driving; it was practically invisible.
Or it could just be used to play flash-those-lights with tailgaters, ahaha

    1. Ahah sounds like a good idea. But I can imagine how dangerous that must have been. But yes, that too. Fun times that would be! 🙂
